Board of Management
Board of Management is made up of a group of individuals who work to support WFYFC (County President; County Chairman; past County Chairman, Trustees of County Building; Directors of Shires Farm). In addition there will be two YFC members and two external Advisers present. It is chaired by the Board of Management Chairman, who is elected by the Executive Committee.
Board of Management has delegated responsibility from the Executive Committee for:
- Giving guidance to the democratic working procedures of WFYFC, its staff and disciplinary procedures
- Preparing and presenting the budgets for Shires Farm and the Educational Fund
- Liaising with all Committees to ensure that their programmes and spending proposals are financially viable and within budget
- Applying for and allocating Grant Aid and other fund raising, including appropriate commercial activities
- All matters relating to the employment of staff (appointment; terms of reference; salaries & expense levels; learning & development in line with current legislation; contracts of employment)
Board of Management is directly responsible for:
- Legal issues relating to WFYFC
- All duties and responsibilities relating to health and safety legislation
- The operations of the WFYFC County Office
- Making recommendations to the Executive Committee on subjects which may affect WFYFC at any level
- Arranging representation of WFYFC at external events, where appropriate
Board of Management meet six times per year, usually during the months between the Executive Committee meetings (Feb; Apr; Jun; Aug; Oct; Dec).
