YFC 2017/2018 Travel programme is now open.
Please find below the documents you need:
Close of applications will be on Friday 3rd November 2017. All applications must be signed by a county office before being sent in and all members applying must have their current YFC membership number for the 2017-2018 year.
Selection Day will be held on Saturday 2nd December 2017 at Stoneleigh Park. Following the PD development meeting early in the year, the format of this day will be face to face interviews for all trips held in the NFYFC offices. Once all applications have been received into the office, members will be informed via email about the details of the day.
* Members are only able to participate in three Homestay trips. This does not include C Alma Baker, RYE or team travel
*Canada 4H: This trip must be taken after the YFC member has hosted a Canadian Exchangee for 1-2 weeks in the UK. You will stay with the same member during the whole of your stay in Canada
*C Alma Baker trip to New Zealand allows for one month free time after the three months
*Members must be able to travel on the date specified by the host country/ state and these may be subject to change.
* For trips that take two or more exchangees, the members selected are advised to liaise and coordinate travel with one another
*If you are applying for a trip with a stay of over two weeks long, please ensure you have permission from your employer to have the minimum time off as stated above
* With the exception of C Alma Baker, all visas (if required), flights, insurance & travel vaccinations (if required) are at the members own cost and are the responsibility of the members. Members will also need to cover the cost of their social expenditure on each trip. Local bursaries may be available, contact your County Office to find out more.
* For the Study Session, European Rally and Autumn Seminar there is a possible percentage of reimbursement towards travel costs depending on funding at RYE.
*Only members holding membership within an English County can apply for the Autumn Seminar, Study Session and European Rally (Wales are eligible to send their own team)
*Should a trip(s) receive a high volume of applications, NFYFC reserves the right to shortlist members for selection day.
To note: Members must be able to travel to the NFYFC offices in Stoneleigh Park for Selection Day, only under exceptional circumstances will we consider and approve a Skype interview.
