Following the announcement from the Government regarding Covid-19, WFYFC's Board have agreed to recommend in line with the recommendations to cease all events and meetings with immediate effect. We will continue to monitor the advice and plan and respond as required. We also advise all Clubs to follow suit and help to reduce the spread of the disease.
Plans for our events such as County Show will be reviewed to ensure we can do our utmost to reschedule them or carry out competitions in a different way later in the year.
NFYFC have also provided updated guidance to assist Counties and Clubs.
The Government advice is to cease non-essential contact and to stop all unnecessary travel. For the foreseeable future (possibly 12 weeks), YFC club meetings and activities should be cancelled.
Every individual has a responsibility to help reduce the spread of the virus and it's vital that the YFC community also plays its part in this crisis.
Please see the latest information online here. http://www.nfyfc.org.uk/YFCCovid19
WFYFC will release more information about the impact to the competitions programme and other events in due course.
We understand the impact these restrictions could have on YFC members – especially as so many already live in isolated areas and rely on their weekly club meetings to socialise with others.
It's a good idea to use other ways to remain in contact with your YFC. Club officers should have the contact details of their members and could consider setting up a group on social media as a way for all members to stay in contact.
